Manic By Nature, Rebellious By Choice

Consumed with insatiable vanity, Narcissus was lured to a pond by the Greek god Nemesis. There he fell in love with his own reflection … and died in permanent adoration of himself, paralyzed by his own beauty

Far from being a symbolic mythical anecdote, narcissism is a growing global pathology manifest as addiction to self-infatuation and self-love. At all times, narcissists' greatest concern is how they look as opposed to how they feel. So they deny any feelings or realities that contradict the image they seek. Their obsession shuts out all meaningful human interaction to the point where afflicted individuals walk in a sea of imagined minions all adoring their presumed grandeur.

Narcissism is also signified by unrelenting tendencies toward manipulation, seduction, power and control.
